Wiesheu celebrate best ever financial year

WIESHEU GmbH, the market leader in baking ovens, finished the financial year 2010 with a turnover of 63 million euros.

This turnover, net of special items, represents an increase of 18 per cent compared to 2009. The export component represented 36 per cent.

In 2010 the German manufacturer created 43 new positions at the locations Affalterbach and Wolfen and currently employs 371 people. The focus was here on additional positions in production and national and international sales.

This and the investment in new production technology justify the company’s demand to strengthen and further expand its market leadership in the area of retail baking.
The production capacity was increased at both locations in 2010.

Managing Director Volker Groos said: “We are anticipating a further increase in turnover also in 2011.

“For the first time in 2011 we will become active in sales in the Asian-Pacific region and anticipate good growth opportunities in this sector.

“In the product sector we are perfectly represented with our new, innovative retail baking ovens in the deck and hot-air convection area and are optimistic for the future.”
