Boka Food Launches Green Traffic Lights Snack Bars

Healthy snack brand Boka Food has recently secured increased distribution in Sainsbury’s for its range of snack bars featuring four green lights front of pack, meaning it is low in fat, saturates, sugar and salt.

Boka Food’s commitment to transparency regarding its products and their nutritional information is gaining support from retailers, says the company, as its portfolio in Sainsbury’s now includes snack bar multipacks of four bars, available in 440 supermarkets with an RRP of GBP2.50.

According to the company, Boka snack bars are fully CQUIN* compliant (guidelines set out by the NHS), popular in hospitals, within foodservice for companies running healthy eating programs, as well as making their way into a growing number of schools due to their popularity with parents following criteria set out by the public health program Change4Life.

The founder of Boka Food, food development specialist, Franco Beer says: ‘‘Our approach at Boka is to provide customers with straightforward information about what they are buying and the traffic light label system is the simplest way to communicate exactly what our products contain.’’
