Modern Bakery Moscow Introduces New American Pavilion

The trademark show fair for confectionery and bakery in Russia and the CIS will celebrate its 20th edition in April introducing new features at the Expocentre Fairgrounds in Moscow.

The show is expanding and will, for the first time, host American companies which have registered for the opportunity of presenting their products in Russia. The U.S. pavilion will be located next to the German one.

As the annual exhibition has been showcasing industry trends for the past 19 years, the anniversary edition is set to be the biggest one yet, from April 23rd to 26th.

“In 2014, many visitors can once again look forward to an exciting and interesting supporting programme with many interesting themes”, said the managing director of the trade fair organiser of Modern Bakery Moscow, Bernd D Fichtner.

With 243 exhibitors and 15,000 trade visitors, the Modern Bakery Moscow is the most important information and contact platform for the Russian bakery and confectionery industry. The fair covers the entire spectrum of the sector: from systems and machines, laboratory and measurement devices, refrigeration technology and air-conditioning, packaging technology and machines through baking ingredients, ready-made products, fast foods, ice-cream, pasta and pizza, right up to coffee shop design and shopfitting, distribution and sales as well as process optimisation.

Focusing ice cream

Every year, there is a comprehensive and informative supporting programme that addresses current developments in the international and Russian market.

For the bakery and confectionery branch in Russia, the topic of ice and ice cream is becoming increasingly important, which will make it one of the hot topics that will be addressed during the show, together with the Russian Ice Cream Association.

“The Modern Bakery Moscow is the leading trade fair for the Russian bakery and confectionery sector and always sets out in new directions, placing emphasis on specific topics. Therefore, we are very happy to have found a great advocate and supporter in the form of the Russian Ice Cream Association,” said Fichtner.
