One of the leading trade fairs in 2014 for bakers and confectioners, südback, confirms its status long before the start, as market leaders have already booked for the 25th anniversary event in October 18-21.
Following last year’s show, when around 600 exhibitors and almost 33,000 specialist visitors met to exchange ideas at the industry’s platform, around 75 per cent of the planned surface area is firmly booked already eight months before the start of the trade fair. The keen interest in the trade fair stands is evenly spread over all exhibitor segments, and demand is from both domestic and foreign companies.
“After the strong growth in recent years and the record levels at the last südback, many market leaders from home and abroad have already booked very early in order to ensure their participation and an optimum placement at this important event for the industry,” confirms Ulrich Kromer, Managing Director at Messe Stuttgart.
“After we made a quantum leap in 2013, for the first time filling over 50,000 square metres of exhibition surface area, the market has confirmed our concept also with impressive record levels of exhibitors and visitors. The fact that the companies are placing südback 2014 in their trade fair calendars already at such an early point in time is confirmation of our concept, which is coordinated with all market participants and partners.“
The first südback took place in 1978. Since then, specialist visitors from the bakers’ and confectioners’ trades have been attending the wide-ranging exhibition with the main themes of working and operating technology, raw materials, shop fixtures and fittings, merchandise, sales promotion and services.
Beside the classical offers, developments and growing trends in the industry are also reflected at the trade fair, such as eating out and catering, which additionally attract decision-makers from gastronomy, hotels and catering to Stuttgart. Parallel to the trade fair stands, the framework programme will also provide opportunities for the exchange of ideas, for example the bakers’ trend forum, the confectioners’ trend forum and the presentation of the renowned südback Trend Awards.
