Bakery Initiatives has organized this year the special VIP Bakery Inspiration Tour in Holland for the second time. The participants had the opportunity to visit the complete Dutch Bakery supply chain in just three days.
The visitors were coming from Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Japan, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Lebanon.
Intensive 3 days
The intensity of the tour got them to experience the complete Dutch Bakery supply chain in just three days. Visiting the hottest retail concepts as well as getting a look behind the scenes of some of the greatest players among the industrial bakeries in Holland.
“I was impressed by the industrial sizes,” said one of the participants. Frans van der Schoot, founder and director of Bakery Initiatives explains: “I wanted to give all participants inside visits to the leading bakery manufacturers. To show them the great bakery knowledge we hold here in the Netherlands and how it got us to operate at the highest level. Most importantly: show the participants how they can structure their own bakery to produce at this level using the best bakery processes and techniques”.
One of the highlights was the breakfast tour through Amsterdam. The participants discovered the quality-minded market in the Netherlands. They also got to investigate product portfolios of Dutch artisan bakers to inspire them to create their own new bakery items.
Among the latest insights on the baking and food market they discovered a shift to more healthy and natural baking goods. The complete experience of baking fresh bread right in the bakery shop is a clear trend which was found in various bakery concept stores all around the Netherlands.
The next VIP Bakery Inspiration tour will take place in April 2017, in the Netherlands.
