The three winning projects in the südback Trend Award 2016 have been chosen: companies from Arnstein, Wels and Freising were selected in the competition for the renowned innovation award for the bakery and confectionery trades.
The 10th edition of the award will be presented during the opening of the südback trade fair in Stuttgart on October, 22.
In the category “Marketing and sales”, the winner comes from Austria: Schweizer Ladenbau GmbH offers a new development in counter construction with its multi-functional pull-down glass front panel (photo). Controlled by sensors, the structure can be opened for cleaning and refilling, and is therefore decoupled from the counter body. Variable table solutions can be fitted in the chilled and dry product sections behind the partition. The flexible presentation system complies with hygiene regulations without impairing the view of the products.
MIWE GmbH is the winner of the “Technology” category. The MIWE roll-in e+3.0 or MIWE thermo-static3.0 can be used for atmospheric baking, eliminating disturbances caused by weather conditions and draughts. Uniform baking results can therefore be attained, irrespective of external factors, since the pressure conditions in the baking oven are not affected by external influences and are always constant.
The winner of the special prize in the südback Trend Award 2016 is Print2Taste GmbH from Freising. The Bocusini 3-D food printing system is incomparable with traditional technology and permits various applications in bakeries, cake shops and catering. Thanks to the innovative cartridge system, individual baked products can be produced with logos, personal creations or 3-D sculptures.
