DuPont Awards Deadline Extended
The submission deadline for the 29th DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation has been extended to February 17.
The awards program distinguishes companies that work to improve in customer product experiences and sustainability. Entry is free and applicants are not required to use DuPont materials in the packaging assembly.
Brand owners, retailers, packaging designers, converters and technology providers from around the world are encouraged to enter their packaging solution, provided it is commercially available.
“The DuPont Packaging Awards honor packaging innovation that use science, inspiration and creativity to shift the paradigms and change the way we live,” says Bernard Rioux, DuPont Packaging Awards program leader.

Two New Award Categories Recognize Ground-Breaking Excellence in Packaging Innovation
Graham Packaging, based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, received the highest accolade, the Diamond Award, for its Thermaset® Blow Molded PET Container for hot-fill, pasteurized food. Thermoset® offers consumers a shatter-resistant, easy-to-hold, safe, recyclable container that significantly reduces shipping, breakage and other manufacturing costs for the brand owner.
In 2016, Diamond Award went to ThermaSet® Blow Molded PET Container for Hot Fill, Pasteurized Food (Graham Packaging, USA).
Leadership in Innovation Award went to MGI 3D Digital Package Decoration Process (MGI, USA).
