Muffin Mam Wholesale Bakery Expands Operations

American bakery Muffin Mam, Inc has announced they would be expanding operations in Laurens County, South Carolina, making an USD18.8m investment and creating 114 new jobs.

The Muffin Man, Inc, based in Simpsonville, South Carolina, is a Global Food Safety Initiative-certified wholesale bakery with customers in some of the world’s largest retailers and food service outlets.

The new facilities will be located in the Hunter Industrial Park, constructing at the 100,000sqf facility to further increase the company’s production.

Founded in 1990, the company’s growth was so rapid, Muffin Mam moved to new production facilities twice in the following five years, settling in the current plant located in Simpsonville, SC.

In 2018, Muffin Mam was acquired by Azalea Capital. Under its auspices, Muffin Mam is poised for significant growth and technology enhancements. Plans are in the works for expansion to a second facility that will significantly increase capacity.
