One Planet Pizza Switches to 100% Recyclable Packaging

UK-based vegan frozen pizza company, One Planet Pizza has announced it is taking yet another step towards becoming a more sustainable company.

To this end, One Planet Pizza has ditched the conventional, non-recyclable plastic cling film that currently surrounds the vast majority of pre-made pizzas on the market, making their packaging 100% sustainable by introducing a recyclable film.

Starting September, the company’s pizzas will now be wrapped in a fully recyclable cling film and will thus qualify as zero-to-landfill packaging.

On top of adhering to sustainable packaging, One Planet Pizza claims its pizzas have been calculated as having 20% lower carbon footprint of typical meat and dairy pizza.

The company offers four pizza flavors including Three Cheezly Margherita, Hawaiian, Exotic Funghi Feast, and Mediterranean Roasted Vegetable.
