New York Times Cooking Introduces Cookie Getaways

New York Times Cooking, the food-content vertical of The New York Times, is creating cookie getaways to two coastal destinations: the Catskills, N.Y., and Palm Springs, Calif. Beginning Nov. 22, while supplies last, guest bookings will be released at thereset.club/cookie-cabin and thereset.club/cookie-cabana.

Bakers can gather their friends for a weekend away at curated rental homes with kitchens designed for baking. The homes’ kitchens will come fully stocked with the ingredients for Cooking’s new holiday cookie recipes coming to life this December, plus popular cookie recipes from past years.

Cooking for comfort is something home cooks know well, and recent research conducted by New York Times Cooking found baking together is a memorable tradition many look forward to every holiday season. Every year New York Times Cooking’s holiday cookie recipes spark joy and togetherness, with many bakers sharing how they baked all the recipes and some even taking days off to bake with the Cooking app.

These new baking experiences from New York Times Cooking are designed to help everyone disconnect while reconnecting with loved ones through baking. The two-night stays will take place over three weekends in December. Beyond the stay, bakers and cookie lovers are invited to enter Cooking’s sweepstakes to bring the cookie magic directly into their homes, no travel required.

For those who can’t go, NYR Cooking organizes an online context: participants my share a photo or video of a New York Times Cooking recipe they’re baking this holiday season with the hashtag #NYTHolidayBaking and #sweepstakes on Instagram, Twitter or TikTok. Five random winners will be selected to receive a cookie baking kit of nearly $1,000 in value.
