Fi Asia Indonesia 2026 will return to Jakarta from 16-18 September, bringing together ingredient suppliers, food manufacturers and industry professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region as demand for healthier, more sustainable food products continues to grow.
Organised at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), the event is expected to attract more than 24,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors under the theme “Elevating Food Standards for a Healthier, Greener Future”. The exhibition aims to connect global ingredient suppliers with manufacturers seeking opportunities in Southeast Asia’s rapidly expanding food and beverage market.
Indonesia remains one of the region’s most attractive growth markets for the food industry. The country’s economy expanded by 5.11% in 2025, while the food and beverage sector outperformed overall economic growth, increasing by 6.23%. The industry also accounted for more than 80% of Indonesia’s national exports during the first eleven months of 2025, underlining its importance to the country’s economy.
“Reflecting both Indonesia’s ambitions and the world’s appetite for what the Asia-Pacific market offers, Fi Asia Indonesia stands as the region’s hub for connecting ingredient suppliers with food and beverage manufacturers,” said Rose Chitanuwat, Regional Director at Informa Markets. “For international businesses, the region is no longer just an opportunity; it is truly a tactical necessity for sustainable global growth. This year’s theme, ‘Elevating Food Standards for a Healthier, Greener Future’ reflects our joint commitment to driving regulatory excellence and improving nutrition quality around the world.”
Alongside the exhibition floor, the Fi Asia Conference will provide a three-day programme focused on research, innovation, regulation and compliance. The sessions are designed for R&D specialists, regulatory professionals and business leaders seeking insight into emerging market requirements and evolving food standards across the region.
Clean-label development is expected to be a major topic of discussion, particularly as Indonesia introduces new regulations such as a traffic-light labelling system for sugar, salt and fat content. Growing consumer scrutiny of additives, preservatives and ultra-processed foods is also increasing pressure on manufacturers to develop products with greater transparency and improved nutritional profiles.
Additional knowledge-sharing opportunities will be available through the Fi Theatre, where discussions organised in collaboration with Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the Indonesian Food and Beverage Association (GAPMMI) will examine fermentation technologies, functional ingredients and bioactive food innovations.
The exhibition will also feature a Hosted Buyers Programme aimed at facilitating business connections between international buyers and regional suppliers. Other highlights include the Snack Bar, showcasing trends in healthier snacking and product reformulation, and the Technical Presentation area, where exhibitors will present practical applications, product demonstrations and case studies.
A new addition to the 2026 event is Nutraceutical Indonesia, powered by Vitafoods Asia. Located in Hall D2 of JIExpo, the feature will focus on functional ingredients, supplements and nutraceutical products. Organisers see significant potential in Indonesia’s position as the world’s largest Muslim-majority country, where demand for halal-certified health products continues to expand alongside stricter halal certification requirements.
With growing interest in health, sustainability and regulatory compliance across the food and beverage sector, Fi Asia Indonesia 2026 is expected to serve as a key meeting point for companies seeking to strengthen their presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing food markets.
