Fedima to Launch Grant for Local Sustainable Initiatives

Fedima, European Federation of Bakery Ingredients Manufacturers, will launch on April 1st the Fedima Grant for Local Sustainable Initiatives, a new project aimed at fostering sustainability within the bakery and patisserie sector.

With a bi-annual grant of EUR20,000, Fedima seeks to support local businesses, researchers, and industry players in developing innovative solutions that contribute to environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

The Fedima Grant for Local Sustainable Initiatives is a project designed to support and promote local sustainable practices in the bakery and patisserie sector. By providing financial support to local projects that drive environmental, social, and economic sustainability, Fedima and its members aim to foster long-term positive change within the industry and the communities it serves. This grant is part of a broader effort to:

  • Support local initiatives that contribute to environmental, social, and economic progress
  • Encourage innovation in sustainable packaging, production processes, responsible sourcing, and more
  • Foster collaboration between businesses, researchers, and industry stakeholders
  • Drive measurable impact at both community and industry levels

The grant is open to small businesses, bakeries, craft bakers, and research institutes across Europe (EU + EFTA, UK, Turkey) that are actively engaged in the bakery, patisserie, or confectionery food chain and will be open on April 1st, 2025.
