According to the company, the investment in its Nowa Sol, Poland bakery amounts to EUR40m and entails a high-speed fast-food line including packaging machines to supply the food retail trade, as well as the expansion of the warehouse and building. Lantmännen Unibake plans to start production on the new line in Q2 2022.
“We have strong ties to our customers and their growth goals; the announcement of this investment is based on this client loyalty and our success in the Polish and European markets. The investment underlines our focus and the implementation of our strategy even in economically and health-challenged times like these,” says Lantmännen Unibake CEO, Jan E. Hertz.
Currently more than 150 employees work at the Nowa Sol location. The expansion will create up to 40 additional jobs. Since the production site sources almost all of the raw materials it needs on the domestic market, the investment will also result in indirect jobs at suppliers.
