Zeelandia to Sell Its Bakery Equipment Producer to Focus on Ingredients

Everbake Group (Everbake) and Koninklijke Zeelandia Groep b.v. (Zeelandia) have signed a letter of intent for the sale of Zeelandia Technical Solutions (ZTS) to Everbake as per September 16, 2016.

ZTS develops, produces, sells and maintains bakery machines and is part of Zeelandia. The bakery machines, with the brand names ‘Zela’ and ‘Zelamatic’, are known and used in bakeries around the world.

Zeelandia intends to sell ZTS as a direct result of their strategic choice to be the leading company in quality bakery ingredients. The activities of ZTS do not fit in with this. Peter Eversdijk, director of Everbake Group, said: “The acquisition of ZTS would allow us to improve our position in the national and international bakery machinery industry, and would be an important basis for us to continue to grow our business.”
Everbake and Zeelandia have been partners for quite some time, supplying total solutions to bakeries. It is Everbake’s intention to take over all activities of ZTS, and to leave the current team of employees intact.
Everbake and Zeelandia plan to continue their collaboration after ZTS’ change of ownership, to strengthen each other’s activities. Until September 16, all necessary preparations for the sale will be carried out jointly by both companies.
