The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) will be canceled this year due to the rapid COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
The organizers remained optimistic that they would be able to put the show on in Indianapolis on May 31-June 2; however, as the exponential progression of the virus continues, they were put in the position to cancel the event. “With the global impact and hardships our members, community, and industry continue to face while carrying the daunting responsibility to keep food on our tables during these difficult times, we had to make the unavoidable decision to cancel,” the president & CEO of IDDBA Michael J. Eardley wrote in a public message.
IDDBA’s officials say that they understand the tradeshow is an important contributor to the growth of the industry and business, but in these unprecedented times, the top priority is the health and safety of all attendees, exhibitors, staff, volunteers, and industry partners.
Registration and exhibitor fees will be fully refunded. IDDBA 2020 exhibitors can either gain full credit for IDDBA 2021 or ask for a full refund for the fees paid.
The next event was planned for 2021 in Houston, June 6 – 8.
