Fortress appoints new production manager

Fortress Technology Europe – leading designer and manufacturer of high performance ‘Phantom’ metal detection systems for the food industry – has appointed John Upton as Production Manager.

In this newly created role, John will be responsible for all aspects of production at Fortress Technology’s new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Banbury, Oxfordshire. His main focus will include efficiency and quality management, as well as the company’s continued investment in production staff and processes.

He will also be implementing ‘lean’ thinking methods and improved supply chain management to deliver high levels of efficiency as the business continues to thrive.

“I am delighted to be part of the Fortress Technology team at such an exciting period of growth,” comments John. “I want to build on an already successful and highly efficient team here. We need to ensure that the company continues to deliver high quality products, to a rapidly expanding European customer base, and with minimum lead time.”
