International baking and fillings expert Puratos UK has added two new flavors to Topfil, its premium fruit fillings range and two complementary variants to its iconic Satin Crème Cake line, in time for the Spring / Summer season. In addition, the company has launched a new vegan Puratos Scone Mix.
The Topfil Select Blackcurrant and Hibiscus and Topfil Select Strawberry, Cucumber and Mint fruit fillings are available now. Both lines are inspired by the Spring / Summer trends for floral and alcohol-inspired flavors and “made in Britain”. With high fruit content and integrity, both variants are freeze and thaw stable and so versatile that they can be used in multiple applications including as a topping or filling for pies, cakes, mousses and more, the company claims.
The new limited-edition Satin Crème Cake Buckwheat Mix and Satin Crème Cake Summer Berries Mix tap into consumer interest in ancient grains, as well as the summer trend for berry flavors. Both mixes contain only natural flavors and no AZO dyes. They are versatile enough to be used across a range of applications; from muffins and loaf cakes to pancakes and waffles and have been designed to deliver superior results every time.
The launch of the new fruit fillings follows Puratos’ acquisition of fillings and sauces supplier Fruitapeel in December 2017, which further boosted Puratos’ expertise and capabilities in this area.
New Vegan Puratos Scone Mix
Puratos Scone Mix follows the introduction of Puratos’ first ever vegan cake mix last year and sees Puratos bolster its vegan offering further.
With veganism on the rise and vegan afternoon tea a growing trend, the new scone mix offers consumers a tasty vegan scene option with no need to compromise on taste or texture.
Boasting delicious “buttery” notes, the mix is versatile enough to use in a range of applications, from scone and swirls to cobblers. It is also easy to use and prepare – requiring the addition of only water and being both freeze and thaw stable.
On the launch, Puratos UK Digital and Communications Manager, Lydia Baines said: “Our new vegan scone mix will offer our customers the chance to tap into the growing trends for vegan afternoon tea options and with no compromise on quality or taste required, delight consumers too.”
