RAPS Brings Innovative Ingredients for Customised Baked Goods at iba 2025

Under the theme ‘Bake the world a little better’, ingredient and spice specialist RAPS will showcase its latest innovations for the baking industry at iba 2025, held in Düsseldorf from 18–22 May. The company will highlight its expertise in functional coatings and a diverse range of savoury fillings and toppings designed to enhance both product performance and flavour.

With the bakery sector seeking efficient, high-performing solutions, RAPS supports manufacturers and bakeries with functional ingredients and ready-to-use concepts that can be easily incorporated into doughs, fillings, and toppings. At iba, RAPS will demonstrate how its technology enables reliable performance and great taste in baked goods and savoury snacks.

Microencapsulation for precision and shelf life

A standout feature of RAPS’ offering is its advanced Coatec microencapsulation technology, which protects sensitive ingredients—such as acids and carbonates—from heat, moisture, and oxidation. This process ensures controlled release during baking, improving dough stability, preventing unwanted interactions, and extending shelf life in products like tortillas and toast.

Savoury fillings to suit all preferences

For flavour and versatility, RAPS offers a broad portfolio of savoury fillings and toppings based on vegetables, herbs, dairy, meat, fish, and plant-based ingredients. Seasoning blends and binders can be mixed with cream cheese or quark to create bake-stable fillings for pastries and snacks. Ready-to-use, freeze-thaw-and-bake-stable fillings from the Fresh Line range will also be on display.
