At iba 2025 in Düsseldorf, German equipment manufacturer FRITSCH showcased its latest developments in industrial pastry processing and packaging. Central to its presentation was a newly developed pastry line designed for bakery chains, emphasising hygienic design, accessibility, and ease of use.
The line, demonstrated live four times daily, features smooth surfaces, rounded corners to reduce contamination risks, and waterproof coverings for components. It is also fully suitable for wet cleaning. Key innovations include quick-release “omega drives” for belt relaxation, a lightweight coiling-in roller with a folding mechanism, and tool-free removal of flour duster brushes. The updated folding plough and compact dough piece depositor further enhance flexibility and reproducibility. The control interface has been redesigned for intuitive operation.
FRITSCH reported strong interest from visitors, with Managing Director Nico Haßmann highlighting positive discussions and alignment with customer needs: rapid cleaning, ease of handling, and accessory flexibility.
Also featured at the stand was the group’s Cooling Packing solution, developed by parent company MULTIVAC. This vacuum-based system integrates cooling directly into the thermoforming packaging process, allowing baked goods to be packaged immediately after baking. The approach is designed to improve product freshness and shelf life.
Christian Traumann, CEO of the MULTIVAC Group, noted that bakery remains a strategic focus, with ongoing investment including a new FRITSCH headquarters under construction in Franconia to consolidate operations.
