HEIN Introduces ECOSTONE PLUS with Integrated Heat Recovery at iba 2025

HEIN is introducing the ECOSTONE PLUS, a new rack oven featuring an innovative, fully mechanical heat recovery system designed to maximise energy efficiency. Instead of losing residual heat through exhaust, the ECOSTONE PLUS captures it within the oven, using a pioneering physical flue gas recirculation system.

The technology extracts additional heat from solid steel pipes and thermoblock walls, temporarily storing it in the heat recovery system. This slows the typical temperature drop in the baking chamber after loading and steaming by up to 20 °C—without requiring the burner to run.
