SternMaid Presents an Extended Range at Health Ingredients Europe 2014

SternMaid will be presenting a wide range of blending and processing techniques at Health Ingredients Europe in Amsterdam.

Besides a multifunctional fluid bed processor and eight different blending lines, the company’s equipment now includes a hammer mill for grinding raw materials.From 2015 SternMaid’s food safety management system will also be certified according to FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification).

SternMaid invests continuously in state-of-the-art technologies. The new hammer mill makes it possible to grind and homogenize mixtures of products that are not uniform in size. The company’s fluid bed processor also simplifies handling of the goods, since it permits optimum adjustment and standardization of the product attributes. Because of their compact form the agglomerates have better flow properties; they are also easier to dose, because much less dust and are suitable for direct tabletting.

Mark Riemer, Commercial Director at SternMaid, sais: “With our wide range of equipment we are flexible and can carry out orders of practically any size; moreover, we are well set up to meet special requirements like allergen, kosher or halal management. On this basis we can execute all manner of different orders quickly and easily and meet our customers’ specifications in all respects.”

In matters of quality control and process safety, too, SternMaid always complies with the latest standards. In January 2015 the systems IFS “Higher Level” and BRC “Grade A” will be replaced by the standard FSSC 22000. This certification provides internationally recognized evidence of a comprehensive food safety management system.
