UK company Food Connections launched a range of snacking bars, flapjacks and cookies called Punk’d Protein that wants to take a bite out of the traditional protein snack market. Their focus is on taste, not on the “low fat, low sugar, high protein trend currently swamping the market.”
The Punk’d Protein Range included Millionaires Protein Bar (60g bar, 12g of protein), Rocky Road Classic (55g bar, 12g of protein), Rocky Road White Chocolate (55g bar, 12g of protein), Protein Flapjack (70g bar, 12g of protein), Peanut Butter Protein Flapjack (70g bar, 12g of protein), Protein Cookie (75g bar, 12g of protein).
Popular as an everyday snack, Punk’d Protein is also, according to the company, gaining traction with gyms, cyclists, runners and golfers. Punk’d Protein sponsors the Viking challenge and the GB Triathlete Jimmy Kershaw who is also a Movistar Eteam rider.
