Well-known professionals are ready to present at südback innovative and trendy pastries, snacks and cakes.
The program will include a wide range of baking demonstrations and sales pitches, as well as advisory services relating to current topics in the bakery trade.
The specialist program will be presented by the Academies of the German Baking Trade in Southwest Germany and Weinheim, as well as by experts known throughout the region and beyond, coming from Germany, France and Italy.
On Monday and Tuesday, bakery trainees (production and sales) from several vocational schools in Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and Alsace will test their skills against one another in a competition for apprentices. The bakers’ task will be to bake the best brioches in the fastest possible time. The specialist sales staff will have to produce three different filled sandwich snacks in a specified period of time.
Furthermore, the traditional contest for the young confectioners “Carlo-Wildt Trophy” takes place at südback 2019 for the 13th time and it is addressed to all trainees of the branch.
This year’s motto is “Impressions in shape and color”. The organizers chose this theme as it offers many opportunities for creative cake decoration and presentation in the display window.
The apprentice competition, Carlo-Wildt-Pokal, for pastry chefs and confectionery sellers of the pastry trade Baden-Württemberg will take place on the occasion of the südback 2019 at the Landesmesse Stuttgart from September 21 to 24.
