Modern Bakery Moscow Focuses on the Future of the Russian Bakery and Confectionery Industry

The countdown is on with just two days to go until the 20th Modern Bakery Moscow, which takes place from April 23-26.

A supporting programme with key information about the future of the entire industry expects the visitors at the 20th anniversary edition of the trade fair.

“In our opinion, the development of the modern bakery of the 21st century is the prime topic. What is needed for the creation of a modern bakery, this question will be answered at our supporting program by relevant industry experts from the government and business, “according to Bernd D. Fichtner, managing director of the organiser of the exhibition Modern Bakery Moscow.

Show highlights

This year, the contest Moscow Confectionery Art Cup will be held for the first time. Confectioners will compete in different categories over three days and create the artistic masterpieces from sugar, cream, chocolate and pastry under time pressure. Other highlights include live presentations from the company Richemont (international center of excellence for the bakery and confectionery industry), sweetART (partner of the sweet art) and leading exhibitors and market leaders at their booths. On the last day of the exhibition the attention will be given to the new generation: the Career Day / Student Forum. We bring exhibitors and future generation of leaders of Russia together and show interesting and lucrative future prospects for both sides.

Lectures and Topics

This year the conference programme of Modern Bakery Moscow is focused on the bakery of the 21st century. Key topics of how the industry is shaping will be elaborated, including components of a successful bakery concept, what is relevant for further expansion of customers’ number and what developments need to be observed in the Russian bakery and confectionery market. Elements that belong to a holistic concept of the bakery will be analysed also. Moreover, the representatives of all major industry associations of Russia will be present in Moscow.

In addition, the supporting programme also covers the scientific aspects of nutrition and health in regards of bread and ingredients, and includes events such as ice cream and waffle seminars, technologist school and innovations, modern shop-fitting concepts and refrigeration technology of the future.

The 20th Modern Bakery Moscow will take place in Moscow at the Expocentre Fairgrounds on April 23 – 26, 2014.
