Newcomers’ Area at INTERNORGA: the place for new business ideas

Visitors at INTERNORGA 2016 can discover, at Hamburg Fair, March, 11-16, the innovative products and smart concepts at the Newcomers’ Area, the place where companies have been presenting their latest ideas to the general public since 2010.

This is where INTERNORGA gives new entrants in the out-of-home market a chance to reach new target groups and business fields in the hospitality sector. This year the Newcomers’ Area is in Hall B4 (upper floor).

INTERNORGA 2016 presents also a special program for bakers and confectioners with inspiring events and workshops on all subjects related to the industry.
2016 will be a very special year for INTERNORGA organizers, as the leading international trade fair will celebrate its 90th anniversary from 11 to 16 March.
“INTERNORGA’s recipe for success is that it keeps on re-inventing itself, and developing together with the industries,” says Claudia Johannsen, Business Unit Director at Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH (HMC). “This leading trade show has been giving comprehensive insights into the market and presenting trends and innovations since 1921. We have always come up with new formats at the right time, creating the decisive added value for exhibitors and visitors. That has enabled INTERNORGA to develop from being a regional hotel and restaurant fair to Europe’s most important meeting point for the HORECA industries. And
of course our primary objective is to continue living up to this high standard.”

Innovations for sustainability and future potential are at the centre of attention of the media and public opinion. They are becoming more and more important in long-term success for business and industry, companies and customers.

INTERNORGA Future Award

The INTERNORGA Future Award was set up by Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH (HMC) in 2011, honoring companies and products for successful initiatives in this direction. The INTERNORGA Future Award recognizes exemplary progress by companies and their products, promoting innovation and sustainability and setting standards.

From 2017 onwards, INTERNORGA will reduce its duration by one day. The international trade show for the whole of the horeca market will then be held from Friday 17 March to Tuesday 21 March 2017, at the Hamburg Fair site as usual; the Wednesday will be dropped.

“We have held in-depth discussions with many exhibitors and partners on whether or not to reduce the duration of INTERNORGA, and taken a wide range of factors into consideration. We have now put the matter before the Exhibitors’ Committee and have agreed on it with the Committee,” says Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH. “All other aspects of INTERNORGA remain unchanged. As the leading trade show and most important industry meeting point for the whole of the HORECA sector, INTERNORGA will systematically continue to uphold its high-quality standards and continuously pursue its current route for internationalisation. The duration of INTERNORGA 2016 remains unchanged.

INTERNORGA 2016 will include including the most popular exhibition formats of the past years and also some exciting surprises and new activities. The CRAFT BEER Arena will be back again following its successful premiere in 2015, presenting the rediscovered diversity of beer.
