Russia‘s recent food import bans imposed on European countries led to a substantial increase in exhibiting space for companies attending World Food Moscow from Egypt, China, Brazil and Argentina.
Russia’s international food and drink tradeshow will take place on September, 15 -18, in Moscow.
A group of seafood companies from Morocco have also confirmed participation as well as the Dutch companies Staay Food Group and Haluco.
Tony Higginson, Sales Director, World Food Moscow, ITE Group Plc, commented:
“The changes in Russia’s food regulations has meant that interest from non-EU countries entering this market has increased, and subsequently we have received an influx of last minute bookings from those countries that are not affected by the ban.”
Mr. Higginson continued: “We are also pleased to confirm that Russia’s ban has had little effect on the event’s exhibitor list, as international companies (including EU companies) will exhibit to retain their presence in the market and to maintain existing client relationships.”
World Food Moscow is a specialized business-to-business exhibition for professionals from the international food and drink industry to meet. The annual event welcomes thousands of food and beverage companies from over 70 countries, and attracts leading supermarkets, distributors, wholesalers, restaurateurs, retailers and food production companies from Russia and the CIS region.
Exhibitors at World Food Moscow will be divided into 11 sectors: fruit and vegetables; canned, confectionery and bakery; oils, fats and sauces; dairy products; drinks; grocery; fish and seafood; meat and poultry; frozen production; tea and coffee; and health and organic.
