SIGEP World 2026 to Feature Gelato World Cup, Pizza (R)evolution and India as Guest Country

SIGEP World 2026, the flagship international trade show for the artisanal foodservice sector, will return to the Rimini Expo Centre from 16–20 January 2026 with a packed agenda, including the prestigious Gelato World Cup and the Juniores Pastry World Cup.

Organised by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), SIGEP World highlights the best in gelato, pastry, chocolate, coffee, bakery and pizza. The 2026 edition will spotlight India as the official Guest Country, underlining the event’s growing global focus.

The Pizza (R)evolution project will also return, exploring innovation in ingredients, technology and consumer trends. Coffee will take centre stage at the Innovation Bar – an experiential zone dedicated to the evolution of the global coffee shop.

IEG CEO Corrado Peraboni reported that SIGEP World 2025 hosted 1,300 brands from 33 countries and welcomed professionals from 160 nations. “For 2026, we are reinforcing our international strategy,” he said.

The 2026 campaign will launch in Madrid on November 6 with a roadshow at the Italian Embassy, targeting the Spanish foodservice market. To support rising international attendance, new direct air links have been added between Rimini, Munich and Spain.

Among the major launches is Gelato Meets Chains, a strategic programme to promote gelato on foodservice menus globally. The initiative includes webinars, B2B matchmaking and a guide from UIF and ACOMAG highlighting gelato’s commercial benefits.

Other programme highlights include SIGEP Vision, the Lorenzo Cagnoni Innovation Award, and a dedicated space for international start-ups and thought leadership.
