Masters of Pastry is a new international pastry competition for professional pastry chefs to compete on the highest level, and for an audience of pastry chefs to be inspired by the latest techniques and concepts from around the world.
Worldwide, teams from over 20 countries participated in the preliminary sessions of Masters of Pastry. Representing Poland, Italy and Greece, three teams made it to the Finals.
Each team consists of a pastry chef supported by a Zeelandia pastry chef. By combining unique shapes, with the right flavor pairing, appealing colors and selected textures, participants design unique applications that will be judged by the expert panel of Willem Verlooy and Ramon Huigsloot, and by the viewers online.
According to a press release, Masters of Pastry is meant to inspire and connect professionals, for pastry chefs to learn techniques from the best and to be informed on the latest trends. It is all about discovering new ways to create.
