Market Research: Ireland Has a Taste for Private Label Biscuits

This is despite the fact that, in terms of volume, a slight decline in 2015-2016 was recorded. With a market size of 26,300 tons per year in 2015 and 2016, Irish people bought fewer biscuits than in 2013 and 2014 (26,500 tons per year). Despite this decrease in volume, the market size has risen steadily in terms of retail sale price (RSP) – from EUR213.30m in 2013, to EUR219.90m in 2014 and EUR222.20m in 2015.

In 2015, most Irish consumers preferred private label biscuits, a category which reached a company share of 20.70% in terms of RSP.
