ALDI has launched a new garlic pizza bread for under GBP1. The pizza side has been described by shoppers as tasting just like a Domino’s takeaway.
Aldi has added a Garlic Pizza Bread to its “takeaway” range, which is even served in a classic takeaway-style cardboard box. The cheesy side has plenty of garlic seasoning and melted mozzarella to make it a convincing copy of some of the most popular takeaway chains’ sides.
The side costs just 99p, compared to Domino’s GBP4.99 garlic pizza bread which can currently be ordered for delivery only, due to the lockdown. The side can be found in Aldi’s chilled cabinets in stores, and is sure to delight shoppers looking to recreate a takeaway at home, on a budget.
The store has also launched a box of thin and crispy fries for GBP1.49, which serves two people.
The new products join the range of stuffed crust pizzas that are sold in stores, so customers can make their own Italian “takeaway” at home.
Though takeaway restaurants are open during the coronavirus lockdown, many are offering delivery only and are not operating from all stores due to social distancing measures.
