Baker & Baker, a leading European bakery products manufacturer, has launched a new Halloween donut in the UK. The delicious treat is another limited edition donut to be launched this year, with the product manufactured to drive autumn sales.
The ‘spooky’ Halloween donut is a ring donut filled with a rich cocoa cream, covered with an orange flavoured icing and topped with Halloween sugar decorations including black bats. The donut contains no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or eggs, and is suitable for vegetarians.
“Halloween is a key trading period for bakeries, food service operators and retailers”, comments Helen Sinclair, UK marketing manager at Baker & Baker. “The new donut has been launched to help create the wow factor, drive people in store and encourage impulse purchases.”
The thaw and serve Halloween donuts have a two-day shelf life and are available immediately.
The introduction of the Halloween donut follows the successful launch of the heart doughnut and Filly Strawberry donut earlier in the year. Other limited edition donuts will be launched later in the year.
