Research Reveals the UK’s Favorite Biscuits

KernPack announced the results of a new survey, revealing the UK’s favorite biscuit is the Chocolate Hobnob. Other findings show that 50 percent of people eats two or three biscuits in one session and the sofa is the UK’s favorite place to eat biscuits.

Claiming top spot in the poll, Chocolate Hobnobs were by far the most popular choice with 18 per cent of the vote, beating Chocolate Digestives into second place with 12 per cent. Bourbons came third with just under 10 per cent. At the bottom end of the scale, with a total of just two per cent between them, were Rich Tea, Lemon Puffs and Nice biscuits.
When asked how many biscuits they ate in a single sitting, 11 per cent admitted they ate the whole packet while only 5 per cent claimed they ate a single biscuit. The sofa came top with 77 per cent as the best place to eat a biscuit, with the office trailing in second place (11 per cent).
The survey also showed that half of respondents would only dunk depending on the type of biscuit but 24 per cent said they would always dunk. Tea was shown to be the UK’s favourite drink in which to dunk biscuits, with 63 per cent of the vote while coffee came second with 20 per cent. ‘Fizzy pop’ came last with 1 per cent.
Commissioned by packaging machinery supplier KernPack, the survey questioned 315 consumers online.
