Franke Unveils New A Line of Fully Automatic Coffee Machines at HostMilano 2025

Swiss coffee equipment manufacturer Franke Coffee Systems has unveiled the New A Line, a new generation of fully automatic coffee machines designed to combine barista-grade beverage quality with lower running costs and improved environmental performance.

Presented at HostMilano 2025, the range introduces two models, the A600 and A800, built on a common platform and supported by the company’s FrankeOS digital operating system. Both machines can be connected to the cloud through FrankeConnect, enabling remote setup, software updates and centralised control of menus, recipes and pricing across multiple locations.

The launch marks a decade since the introduction of the original A Line, a series that established Franke’s reputation for reliability in professional coffee service. The company said the new platform builds on that legacy with scalable engineering, faster workflows and features intended to ease staffing pressures in cafés, hotels and self-service environments.

Among the key technologies are iQFlow™, which controls extraction to deliver consistent flavour and aroma; New FoamMaster, which produces finely textured milk foam for dairy and plant-based options; and PrecisionTemp, which adjusts brewing temperature for each beverage type. Together they aim to ensure stable, repeatable results even under peak demand.

Energy and resource efficiency have also been a central focus. The new HeatGuard boiler system uses advanced insulation to cut idle heat loss by up to 44 per cent compared with the previous A600 NM, according to the company. The IndividualClean monitoring system schedules cleaning based on actual usage, reducing downtime, water and detergent consumption.

Visually, the A Line adopts a more refined design language, with matte and satin finishes and profiles offered in Onyx, Granite and Mahogany. Modular add-on units and illuminated spout indicators create a unified appearance intended for both staffed counters and self-service areas.

Premium expectations are rising even as staffing and cost pressures grow,” said Marco Zancolò, chief executive of Franke Coffee Systems. “With the New A Line, operators get consistent in-cup quality at scale, true flexibility for dairy and non-dairy menus, and simpler day-to-day running. All of this is backed by Swiss engineering. The New A Line is built for today’s realities and ready to evolve with future customer needs.

Franke is showcasing the two models at HostMilano until 21 October, before beginning a global rollout that will continue through 2026.
