Pillsbury Funfetti Unveils New Celebrations Cake Mix

Pillsbury Baking, a unit of Hometown Food Company, has introduced its new Funfetti Celebrations Cake Mix, tapping into the growing popularity of sprinkle-covered cakes driven by social media trends.

The product, now available at Walmart for USD3.98, allows consumers to create bakery-style sprinkle cakes at home at a lower cost. The mix includes extra sprinkles baked into the batter, along with an additional pack of decorative sprinkles such as stars, pearls, and sequins to coat the exterior.

“With Funfetti Celebrations Cake Mix, we’re bringing the sprinkle cake trend straight to home bakers so they can create stunning, festive cakes for a fraction of the cost,” said Dan Anglemyer, chief operating officer at Hometown Food Company.

The sprinkle cake trend has gained traction on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, with bakeries offering premium-priced versions. Pillsbury’s launch aims to provide an accessible alternative for home bakers.

The product is expected to roll out at additional national retailers in the coming months.
