UK’s bread maker Warburtons, which has been baking bread since 1876, have partnered with Pearson Business School to launch a new management degree apprenticeship scheme.
This opportunity offers students the chance to learn and earn within the largest bakery in the UK. Warburtons has a range of over 70 products, including bread, crumpets, fruit loaf, muffins, teacakes and wraps. This four-year degree apprenticeship is designed to give student-apprentices the experience of working for one of the most recognizable companies in the UK, while studying for an Honors Degree at the same time.
Two passionate and ambitious individuals will be chosen to complete this new degree apprenticeship and will also help deliver excellence and contribute to the success of Warburtons. Based at their Enfield Bakery, the student will complete a two-year degree in business management, gain a wealth of management knowledge and experience as either a bakery team leader or a driver operations team leader and they will also build up their network of professional contacts.
Tuition fees will be paid for by Warburtons and the student-apprentices will be paid a competitive starting salary which will be rising each year through to year 4, with time off for study. They’ll also graduate debt-free, as their fees will be covered.
This Degree Apprenticeship is a 4-year program which will develop students through various levels of management. The apprentices will be working across a range of different functions and teams in operations: including manufacturing, plant and engineering, warehousing, distribution, quality and technical and health & safety to broaden the knowledge and understanding in all areas of the operation. The job role will start in October 2019 and the degree will begin in January 2020.
Pearson Business School is part of Pearson College London – the UK’s first higher education institution to be founded by a FTSE 100 company.
